The Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) is a mixed or hybrid criminal court. It was established by Agreement between the United Nations and the Lebanese Republic, which entered into force pursuant to the United Nations Security Council resolution 1757 (2007). The STL is an independent, international judicial organisation.
