OTP Makes Submission to PTJ
On 15 April 2009 the Office of the Prosecutor received an Order of the Pre-Trial Judge requesting the Office of the Prosecutor to file, by 27 April 2009, reasoned submissions stating whether or not he requests the continuation of the detention of the persons held in Lebanon in relation to the Hariri case. The Office of the Prosecutor today made its submission which has been received by the Pre-Trial Judge.
A Pre-Trial sitting on this matter has been scheduled for 1400 Wednesday, 29 April 2009.
Due to the short notice for this sitting and in keeping with the STL's commitment to equal access, this sitting will be made available for public viewing through internet webcasting and via a television broadcast in the Lebanon region. Details of the Pre-Trial Judges scheduling order, the web address for the webcast and the frequency for the television broadcast will be provided in a press release on the afternoon of 28 April 2009.
